Velma Gas Processing PlantAtlas Pipeline Mid-Continent first arrived on the Mid-Continent scene when its parent, Atlas Pipeline Partners, LP (NYSE symbol APL), acquired the Velma Gas Processing Plant and its 2,000 mile gathering system. The Velma system stretches primarily across Stephens, Carter and Love Counties, Oklahoma, but also includes parts of Grady, Garvin, Jefferson and Marshall Counties, Oklahoma as well as Montague and Cooke Counties, Texas. The Velma gas plant is capable of processing up to 100 million cubic of natural gas per day. With over 45,000 h.p. of compression, Atlas remains a highly competitive provider of low pressure service in the Velma area.

In April 2005, Atlas completed its acquisition of ETC Oklahoma Pipeline forming a new subsidiary, Elk City Oklahoma Pipeline. The Elk City assets consist of over 300 miles of low, medium and high pressure gathering pipelines along with the 100 mmcfd Prentiss Treating Plant and, constructed subsequent to the acquisition, the new 120 mmcfd Sweetwater Gas Processing Plant. The Elk City system stretches across Washita, Beckham and Roger Mills Counties, Oklahoma into Wheeler County, Texas. For those producers who elect to ship gas across the Elk City system, there are pipeline interconnects with ANR Pipeline, CenterPoint Field Services, Northern Natural Gas, Natural Gas Pipeline, ONEOK Gas Transportation, and Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line.

Ozark Gas TransmissionOn November 1, 2005, Atlas announced its acquisition of the controlling interest in the NOARK Pipeline System L.P. Six months later, it announced the purchase of the remaining ownership of the partnership, which meant for the first time there was a single owner of both the FERC-regulated Ozark Gas Transmission (OGT) pipeline and the unregulated Ozark Gas Gathering (OGG) system. Through OGT, shippers can move natural gas from eastern Oklahoma, across central and northeastern Arkansas, into Missouri. OGT has a current capacity of 322,000 dt/d. OGT can deliver gas to local distribution companies Arkansas Oklahoma Gas, Arkansas Western Gas and Atmos Energy, as well as the interstate pipelines Natural Gas Pipeline of America (NGPL), Texas Eastern Pipeline, and Mississippi River Transportation (MRT). OGG gathers gas from over 400 receipt points for redelivery into OGT and CenterPoint.

The most recent acquisition was for control of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation's interests in the Chaney Dell and Midkiff-Benedum natural gas gathering and processing systems, which was announced on July 27, 2007. In northwest Oklahoma and southern Kansas, near the center of the Anadarko Basin, the acquisition expanded the company's assets with approximately 3,470 miles of gathering pipeline and a processing system that averaged 226 Mmcf/d in 2006. The company also established operations in western Texas and the Texas panhandle with approximately 73% ownership in the Midkiff-Benedum natural gas gathering and processing system. The system includes approximately 2,500 miles of gathering pipeline and is located in the Spraberry Trend of the Permian Basin, near Midland, TX. In 2006, the Midkiff-Benedum system had approximately 139 Mmcf/d of average throughput.

Atlas focuses on providing safe, reliable and timely service to its customers and continues to look for opportunities to expand its presence through both acquisitions and organic growth initiatives.
