In the fall of 2003, a $10 million update of the
Velma gas plant was completed. This update included the
replacement of gas-fired compressors with more efficient and
more powerful electric compression.
The completion of the Velma gas plant update has
greatly increased Velma's overall processing capacity
and has also given the plant a clear competitive advantage
to other plants in the area.
