Listed below are some common situations that result in change of ownership or a change to owner accounts. Below each situation you will find the required documentation to effect the change. (Occasionally, some situations will require additional documentation.) All change requests must be submitted in writing with the appropriate documentation:

Q: Name Change (due to Marriage, Divorce, etc.)

Q: Address Change

Q: Bank Change

Q: Company or Corporation name change

Q: Company or Corporation merger

Q: Appointment of Attorney-in-Fact, Trustee, POA, etc.

Q: Trust/Partnership Created

Q: Sale of Interest

Q: Owner distributes interest to heirs through conveyance (Mineral Deed)

Q: Member of Joint Tenancy dies

Q: Owner died with a Will (testate) and Probate proceedings to be conducted in state where the property is located.

Q: Owner died with a Will (testate) and Probate proceedings to be conducted in a state other than the state where the property is located.

Q: Owner died without a Will (intestate) (Laws of Descent and Distribution will be applied)
* All changes of ownership must be filed in the County or Parish where property is located.
